FAQ
How does an infrared sauna work?
A traditional sauna uses convection and conduction to heat the surface of your skin. Infrared saunas, however, use infrared heating panels that emit light helping your body to detoxify, giving users a deeper cleansing experience.
How frequently should I use an infrared sauna?
This is entirely up to you! While it is completely safe to use the sauna daily, you might prefer to come 1-2 times per week depending on your lifestyle and goals.
How to clean a sauna or remove stains on the wood from sweat?
Unplug the sauna from the power outlet on the wall before cleaning. Use a damp towel to gently scrub sweat stains. Place a towel on the bench to prevent sweat from dripping onto it. This will maintain the appearance of your wood. If there are sweat stains, you can use a chemical free wood cleaner at least once a week. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleansers inside the sauna.
How long does the sauna take to heat up?
Our saunas heat up quickly, but if you are wanting it hot as soon as you jump in, we recommend turning it on for 15-25 minutes before you commence your session, keeping in mind the external temperature and setting.
Is the sauna suitable for the outdoors?
Our saunas are not weather proof and are not suitable to be assembled outside unless they are in an undercover area that is waterproof.
How to prevent mould?
Once your session is complete, gently wipe down the wood to remove excess moisture. Also, let the sauna's door stand open for a few minutes so that the sauna can air out. This releases moisture and keeps your sauna wood dry.
